RI President Jennifer Jones Imagine Rotary Tour of Canada

Metro Vancouver – July 10, 2022

 
  • The welcome at YVR Vancouver Airport is CANCELLED due to changes to flight schedule
     
  • 9:00 AM - Everyone Welcome for the Dedication of Rotary Peace Garden by Richmond Mayor Malcolm Brodie and RI President Jennifer Jones. Peace trees will be planted in the garden area, with one of the trees to named after and in honour of President Jennifer. The park is located at 6620 Garden City Road (Northeast corner of Granville Ave and Garden City Road) Richmond
 
  • White Rock – events start at 9:30 AM – RIP Jennifer is expected to arrive at 10:30 AM.  At noon RIP Jennifer will lead a beach clean up project. Events right next to the famous White Rock Pier.  We'll have a large stage and three bands to entertain the crowds.  Rotarians and partner organizations, such as Days for Girls, will have tents and displays. 
 
  • In the fternoon RIP Jennifer will visit the Aboriginal Mother's Centre in East Vancouver, where Write to Read has recently installed a Learning Centre. This is a private visit with this community.
 
  • At 5:00 PM, President Jennifer will join the Vancouver Rotary Club in Stanley Park to celebrate their 37th annual bike-a-thon fundraiser - Rotary Ride For Hearing.  Their goal is to raise $6 million for a hearing centre at the new St. Paul's Hospital. A limited number of tickets at $125 are available at rotary ride for hearing celebration banquet tickets
