February 3 and 4, 2018 -   A very busy Rotary weekend as members of the District 5040 team convene in Richmond February 3 to update progress on the District Strategic Plan objectives.   Present are members of the Governor team, Assistant Governors, District Committee Chairs and Board Members.   A full review yields many updates - we are tracking well on many of our goals, however some are lagging and are identified for more work in the coming months.   The updated plan with progress notes is posted at under the "About Us" tab for all Rotarians to access and view.
Following that session, we meet with the Assistant Governors to do some training and review some critical areas for more work. We have a productive session covering many topics such as managing conflict, the coming District Conference, Rotary Club Central Goals and Citation needs, Volunteer Hours entry and more.
On February 4 it is over to DGE Darcy Long for her first District Team Training session, with her District Trainer Jan Gisborne. Darcy is back from International Assembly and getting ready to lead our District in the coming 2018 - 2019 Rotary Year.   We are all brought up to speed on the Presidential Theme "Be An Inspiration" as well as working some thoughts for training and development for this next Rotary year.   Watch for the District Training Assemblies which will bring this information out to five areas in the Province, open to all Rotarians.
