The Rotary Foundation
To advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty.
The Rotary Foundation was created in 1917 by Rotary International's sixth president, Arch C. Klumph, as an endowment fund for Rotary "to do good in the world." It was started with the sum of $26.50.
The Foundation began to grow significantly with donations in memory of Paul Harris after his death in 1947. Today, donations of $1,000 are used to recognize people as Paul Harris Fellows.
The Rotary Foundation provides the financial engine which helps us to fund projects both locally and internationally.
This is our charity funded entirely by donations and investment income. It is one of the top charities in the world as rated by Charity Navigator.
