Is your club considering a mixture of virtual and in person meetings for this Rotary year? If so, there are various details that will need your attention to ensure a satisfactory experience for all attendees.

Virtual In-Person (V/IP) meetings, also known as Hybrid meetings can offer a variety of benefits as we move from our pandemic enforced online meetings to whatever 'new normal' meetings we conduct. The ability to have members and guests join our meetings independent of geography has been a benefit to many and V/IP meetings will allow us to continue with that feature if we wish.

You will need to be aware of technical details and equipment that you will need as well as considerations for the meeting facilities and room layout. Your Learning and Development team members have compiled some resources to help you to navigate through these issues and both our district and Rotary International have members who can provide advice and practical experience assistance.

On the left of this page you will find links to documents and videos that you should find useful as you prepare to implement the necessary techniques for this style of meeting. Several clubs in our district have conducted V/IP meetings already and their expertise and experiences can help if you wish.

We are grateful to members of Zones 26 & 27 who compiled most of these documents, to the Global Impact Group for their videos and to Corey Lopardi who is the  Assistant Rotary Coordinator for Zone 27 who has shared his expertise included in one of the videos for which a link is provided. If you need assistance from the District 5040 Learning and Development Team, please reach out to any of us including Keith Dinwoodie and we will help.
