PERSONAL

Lloyd was born in Ohio in 1911, attended Chicago University, and on graduation, settled in Anchorage where he practiced Optometry for 30 years. Simultaneously, he engaged in real estate development.

In retirement he has a summer home in Anchorage and a winter home in Florida. Travel, yachting, fishing and hunting are his hobbies.

ROTARY

He was a charter member of the Anchorage Rotary Club, and served as an early President. His was the plan finally accepted for the formation of District 503 from parts of Districts 502 and 504. In 1979 he headed a Group Study Exchange team to the Philippines which he says "was one of the greatest human relations events in his life".
