The Rotary Foundation provides grants to help clubs implement projects both locally and globally.  Anyone, Rotarians, clubs, companies and the public may contribute to the Rotary Foundation Annual Fund. The funds are invested for three years, the earnings are used to offset the costs associated with managing the fund and the grants process. After three years the total of all funds contributed by the district are allocated, 50% to support Global projects and 50% for district designated funds which are split in half to support district grants and the district portion of global grants for clubs in the district. Clubs may apply for both district and global grants.

It is important to understand that the money for grants comes from contributions mainly from Rotarians so it is important that you contribute to the Foundation so there is money to support grants.
