Recommended planning session times:
  • A full strategic planning session (SWOT / Vision / Strategic goals and objectives) - 6 hours
    * can be a full 6 hour working session or two 3 hour working sessions
  • An update / review session (progress review, set new goals and objectives) - 3 hours
Who should attend?    Depends on club size, aim for group of around 10 to 20, whole club can be invited depending on size of club. The greater the participation, the stronger the consensus.

  • Board and Committee Chairs
  • Rotarians at large
  • There is no charge for a facilitator to assist a club with their strategic plan work
  • The club is responsible to arrange the meeting room and logistical needs such as flip charts or computer / projector / screen (your facilitator will advise what is needed)
    * Should there be difficulty in arranging any items, the facilitator may be able to source some items from the District on loan
  • The club is responsible to reimburse any out of pocket costs should travel be involved
  • The facilitator will facilitate the planning session with the club, and complete the planning document after the session
