Assistant Governor
District Administrative Committees

- Serve as the District Governor's official representative among the designated Rotary clubs.
- Support club effectiveness by assisting the governor with the administration of designated clubs, including the timely submission of semi-annual reports, payment of RI and District dues, and monthly membership and attendance statistics.
- Visit each club regularly, at least quarterly, to meet with the club president and other club leaders to discuss the business of the club and resources available to them.
- Assist club leaders in planning and preparing for the governor's official visit.
- Keep the governor informed about clubs, and suggest ways to enhance Rotary development and resolve difficulties.
- Ensure appropriate financial stewardship of club funds by club leaders.
- Serve as a two-way communication link between clubs and District committees.
- Promote the implementation of the Club Leadership Plan, including the Assistant Governor's club.
- Encourage clubs to implement the governor's requests and recommendations.
- Prepare at least one article for publication in the District newsletter that showcases their designated clubs and their projects.
- Share "best practices" from their designated clubs with each other, and with other Rotary clubs.
- Monitor and motivate clubs to achieve club goals relating to membership development and retention, and support for The Rotary Foundation.
- Assist clubs in researching and implementing effective community and international service projects.
- Assist clubs in completing the activities which will lead to the Presidential Citation for the club, and the submission of the certification form to the governor.
- Identify and develop leaders capable of serving Rotary beyond the club level.
- Promote attendance at the District Conference and the International Convention.
