Bob has been a Rotarian since 1996, is a Paul Harris Fellow and member of the District 5040 Paul Harris Society.

 

Bob was born in Australia, moved to Canada in 1971, and has been a fixture in Richmond since the day he landed! He married Judy (born in New Westminster and mostly raised in Richmond) and they are proud parents of 4 children (3 daughters and 1 son) and have recently been blessed with the birth of their first grandson.

 

In 1971 Bob joined the New Westminster Police Department and retired from the department in 2000 with the rank of Inspector.

 

One of the highlights of Bob's career was being named Honorary Aide-de-Camp to the Lt. Governor of British Columbia in 1998. He has been re-appointed for a third time and currently serves in that position with the sitting Lt. Governor.

 

Bob was President of the New Westminster- Royal City club for 2001 - 2002; Group Study Exchange leader to D9570 Queensland, Australia in 2005; GSE Chair 2006 with the successful Focused GSE Exchange with Los Angeles for Police Officers; District Chair for Youth Exchange. One of Bob's passions is youth programs, especially RYLA where he has been the MC for RYLA South for the past two years.

 

Together with Judy they own and operate a relocation company focusing on assisting incoming healthcare professionals who have been hired by the Health Authorities and Bob also does some contract work focusing on elder abuse and giving them direction in contacting the appropriate authorities for assistance.

 

Bob is an avid golfer, when he gets the time, and his favourite hobby is making golf clubs.

 

Judy is a retired paralegal and over the years has served on many community boards, enjoys gardening and is currently kept busy with Rotary functions, managing the business and getting to know her grandson.
