The Rotary Foundation transforms contributions into impactful service projects that benefit communities locally and globally. Since its establishment over a century ago, the Foundation has allocated more than $4 billion toward sustainable, life-changing initiatives. Major initiatives include the eradication of polio, promotion of clean water, and scholarship provision. Over 90% of donations directly fund program activities.

 

The Rotary Foundation enables Rotary members to further global understanding, goodwill, and peace by enhancing health, delivering quality education, improving environmental conditions, and alleviating poverty.

The Rotary Foundation (Canada) ("TRFC") is a registered Canadian charity established in 1967 to manage donations from Canadian Rotarians and partners. It serves as an associate foundation of Rotary International, supporting similar global programs and initiatives, and has raised over $569 million in 2024–25.

 

Donations and Recognition Donors to The Rotary Foundation and the Rotary Foundation Canada are acknowledged through various forms of recognition. Donations may be designated to specific causes such as polio eradication or contributed to the Annual Fund. Recognition opportunities exist for individual and club donors. Contributions can be made online via the www.rotary.org. The Foundation ensures responsible stewardship of funds and frequently collaborates with organizations like the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
