Rotary District 5040 Presidents Elect, Secretaries and Treasurers, Happy New Year! We are beginning the countdown to our own District's Club Leaders' Forum on March 7 & 8, 2026 (1½ days) designed to help all of us build stronger clubs.
If you have not pre-registered already, please pre-register right away.
The Forum is not only our version of the Presidents Elect Learning Seminar (PELS) -- a requirement for new or returning PEs -- it provides the added learning opportunity for previous and new club Secretaries and Treasurers.
No registration fee
There is no registration fee for the Forum. Our District 5040 is covering the cost of the CLF learning sessions, meals and up to two nights accommodation for attendees from outside of the Lower Mainland. We will also consider providing hardship travel financial assistance to participants or for their sponsoring clubs which need it. We need to plan effectively so your pre-registration now is important.
Facilitated forum not lecture
The Forum will feature experienced facilitators to encourage discussion so we can learn and share knowledge among ourselves, whether you are returning to your club leader role or new to the job. The venue is the outstanding, specially designed learning facility, Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue in downtown Vancouver (part of Simon Fraser University). Bring your laptops and mobiles and connect to resources during sessions.
Much less cost of money and your time
All that comes to you at much less cost of time and money, and greater access without crossing the border, for participants and our District than required in the past to attend PELS in Seattle for PEs only in February.
Later this month, depending on registration of only District 5040 club leaders, we can determine whether we can accommodate at our Forum other Canadian Districts' PEs, Secretaries and Treasurers who will have to pay basic registration and other expenses covered for you by our District.
Thank you!
Dean
