The Conference Committee is pleased to announce Ron Malmas as our Master of Ceremonies.
Ron is District Governor Partner in all things Rotary with Governor Shirley-Pat Gale of District 5040 and is the 2024 Conference Co-Chair.
Ron Malmas was an Assistant Governor for District 5040 from 2020-2024, serving the five clubs in the Northwest, and a District Director from 2018-2021.
On top of this, Ron started the WIlliams Lake Starfish Backpack program and was successful in raising community funds for Shelter Box in Fiji in 2008. Shortly after this, Ron hosted a Tsunami fundraising dinner after the devastation in Japan. Ron is a member of Write2Read BC and has assisted the start up of Starfish Packs Terrace in 2017, which is currently serving 7 schools, and bringing food to 116 children.
With Ron's encouragement in 2022 the Northwest clubs successfully participated with the Rotary Club of Latoga, Fiji raising money for a combined project called Wheels Chairs for Fiji. He says that he has just begun to do good in the world.
