Friday, November 3  - A visit to the Rotary Club of Vancouver Arbutus rounds out our club visits for this week.   We have been seeing a lot of Assistant Governor, Davinder Grewal, this week (with thanks for her active support!) and this is her home club.  President Joy Johnston welcomes us and we have a good pre meeting with the club's board.
The club has a unique fundraiser - a community Shred a Thon for clean oceans where people can shred their unwanted documents and support the environment at the same time.  They collaborate on several projects with Vancouver Yaletown,  including the shoreline cleanup, and they also support several local charities.  They also sponsor an Interact Club at Point Grey Secondary school.

Internationally, this club has a very active project in El Salvador where they participate in shoreline cleanup and provide trash receptacles and plastic cleanup on the worst beaches in that country.

There is a very good turnout and we have a great discussion in our final club visit for this week.
