The Rotary District 5040 Nominating Committee has completed the interview process for the District Governor position for the 2024-2025 Rotary year. The committee has selected Drew Antrobus from the Rotary Club of Richmond - Sunset.

Drew is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Richmond Sunset in District 5040 and will be the President in 2022-23. He is currently the Executive Assistant Governor, Vice-Chair of the Foundation Committee for District 5040. 
 
He is a Paul Harris Fellow +4, a member of the Polio Plus Society, a Foundation Benefactor. In his 35 years of service, Drew has served both at the Club Level and the District Levels.
 
With Richmond Sunset, Drew is currently the President Elect and the Chair of the Peace Committee and has been the Sgt-at-Arms for the club. At the District 5040 level Drew is currently the Executive Assistant Governor and Vice Chair of the Foundation Committee, District Trainer, and a Peace Conversation Facilitator. Drew has held the positions of Lead Facilitator for the PNW PETS 21, District Trainer and sat on the Learning and Development Committee for four years.
 
 
Before moving west to join District 5040, Drew was a charter Member of the Ottawa Bytown Club in District 7040 where he was twice President and Club Secretary and Executive Secretary for over 20 years. At the 7040 District level, he has held the positions of Past Asst. Governor, District Conference Chair and Co-District Conference Chair, Co-Chair of the District Learning and Development Team and Chair of the District Logistics Committee.
 
Drew is a Charter Member of the Ottawa Bytown Rotary Club in D7040 and also the Pacific Northwest Passport Club in D5050.  Drew continues to work on upgrading his Rotary knowledge through the learning Centre. He has also completed and graduated from the RLI Program and continues to take the RLI Graduate Level training courses.  Drew is also a Charter Member of the Pacific Northwest Passport Club in D5050.
 
PROFESSION
Drew obtained his Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) after graduating in Civil Engineering as a Certified Civil Engineering Technologist (CET). 
 
Currently he is involved as a consultant in the Financial ERP system implementation field. Drew has more than 30 years of accounting management, senior business analysis, project management, costing, finance experience, business case analysis, with more than 10 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
 
For more than 20 years he has been a Business Analyst working on COTS ERP systems including SAP, Oracle, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, JD Edwards and Great Plains where he has dealt with various business transformation initiatives in large and small complex organizations in both the Private and Public sector. Before getting into ERP System work, he worked in Construction and Civil Engineering field for over 10 years. 
 
He is also a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor with extensive Construction Accounting, Budget Creation and Analysis, Policy Development and Implementation, Costing and Cash Flow experience coupled with extensive Business Analyst experience managing cross functional project teams such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, general ledger and treasury.   He also has experience with SharePoint, Procore Construction Management software and Timberline Construction software. Drew was the Business Analyst Team Lead at Department on National Defence (DND) for 3 SAP implementations.  Extensive experience in Business Process Re-engineering, Business Case development, Supply Chain Management, Internal Review and Compliance Audits, Data Analysis and Modeling. While at the Department of National Defence he was also heavily involved in Cost Accounting Department.  While with the Department of National Defense developed and wrote the Cost Recovery Policy for the Foreign Military that Train in Canada.
 
Through Drew’s work experience he has developed excellent communication and facilitation skills which has given him the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and senior management. This has allowed him to further developed the skills he learned from his time as a Regional Sales Manager. His written and verbal communication skills include creating corporate reports, writing briefing notes and preparing presentations to the Deputy Ministers, Senior Officials and End Users as well as creating and delivering End User training manuals and training.
