With the hub based in Terrace, five interactive and fully integrated mini conference host sites will be organized for the District 5040 Conference June 4, 5, 2021.
 
The sites will be held at various locations around the District. Exact locations will be based according to attendee registration numbers. Our current plans are to locate the host sites at:
  • Prince George
  • The Cariboo
  • Two sites in the Lower Mainland
  • Sea to Sky and/or Sunshine Coast

Friday, June 4 evening

  • Completely virtual
  • Incorporating the youth conference via Zoom
  • Top-notch speakers – including MC for the evening Actor and Family man Neal McDonough,
  • Additional Activities and Dance Party!

Saturday, June 5

  • Networking gets underway at 9 a.m. in Terrace and the Mini Conference Host site. Coffee and snacks will be served. There will be opportunities for virtual networking
  • First plenary Lorelei Higgins and Scott R. Martin of  Mediators Beyond Borders International will discuss conflict literacy and cross-cultural communication training in partnership with the Nisga’a Nation.
  • All attendees – in person and virtual – will receive a valuable Treasure Box that will contain unique keepsakes from BC including some special contributions from our Nisga’a Nation partners!

Cost

  • Reduced to $199 per person if you plan on attending one of the host sites. Includes breaks, lunch and the special Treasure Box (value: priceless)!
  • $79 if you plan to attend virtually.
