Bridget Sangster

Bridget Sangster was raised in Tsawwassen BC. Upon completion of high school, she studied biology at the University of Victoria. From there she graduated from the Diagnostic Medical Radiography program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Whilst in Canada, she predominated has worked at Vancouver General Hospital. She has also worked in Yellowknife. In 2008, after a 8 month trip through southern and east Africa, Bridget and her twin sister Sonya founded the International Community Empowerment Foundation (ICEF Canada). ICEF works in southern and eastern Uganda, providing medical services, primary education, economic empowerment opportunities, and agricultural demonstration to a populous of nearly 8,000 citizens. In 2009 Bridget contracted with the Canadian Department of Defence to work at the Multinational Medical Hospital on the Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan for 7 months. In 2010 she moved to Hampshire England for 1.5 years to work in the NHS. Bridget is currently furthering her education at Simon Fraser University, and is the current President of ICEF Canada
