February 1, 2018 - Rotary Club of Squamish - A rainy day as we make our way to Squamish to do some District Conference planning work and to visit the Rotary Club of Squamish. Along are District Conference Chair Garry Shearer from the Rotary Club of Tsawwassen, and committee member Vicki Haller from the Rotary Club of West Vancouver Sunrise.
Squamish is always an active club and we are able to participate in an event filled meeting - as Garry presents the club their District Grant cheque ($10,000 towards their Squamish Hospice project) and I am able to join their Foundation Chair as we present a Paul Harris + 2 to member (and District 5040 Polio Chair) Brian Finley and a Paul Harris + 7 to member Greg Gardner. Congratulations and appreciation to both for their support of The Rotary Foundation. Before their engaging program, we were able to promote the District Conference, thanking the club for the 11 they already have registered and their support, while encouraging more. After all - the conference is in their own community this year!
