Monday, December 4 and we are headed north to Prince George for a visit to a number of Rotary meetings and events.   Assistant Governor Bill Hellyer meets us on arrival,  and hosts a lovely evening for us and the Prince George Club presidents at his home - it is a wonderful opportunity to catch up with everyone.

Tuesday will be a busy day, and we start in the morning attending the meeting of the Club Presidents and AG to review areas of common interest and projects where the three clubs here work together in the community.   Next we join the Rotary Club of Prince George at their regular Tuesday luncheon meeting, overseen by President Kevin Beatty.   The club is busy in the community and we are also able to provide a brief update on some of the District's priorities.   The program today is a presentation on the recently developed strategic plan for the club.

That afternoon, the three clubs combine with the Coast Hotel's Manager's Reception to provide an informal networking event which is very well attended by Rotarians from all three clubs as well as others from the community.   A great idea on sharing Rotary with the community.

Wednesday, we start off by attending the breakfast meeting of the Rotary Club of Prince George - Nechako with President Robert Quibell.  The morning's speaker is a firefighter who worked the wildfires this summer - very topical as we have just announced that our Rotary 5040 Wildfire Recovery Fund topped $64,000 and that work is now starting to distribute those funds to Rotary Clubs in the affected area.

We were very pleased to present a Polio Recognition Certificate to the Rotaract Club of Prince George President Simran Jawanda and President Elect Rachel McPhail.
