To the many of you who have been wanting to offer help for the victims of the wildfires currently burning in the Cariboo region of the British Columbia, thank you for your care and concern. District 5040 is pleased to let you know that the Rotary BC Wildfire Recovery Fund is now open and collecting funds that will be made available to Rotary clubs in the affected areas. Contributions to the fund are now being accepted. Once the situation with the fires has ended, a team will work with the clubs to allocate funds to the Rotary clubs in the affected areas to assist with recovery and rebuild projects in their communities. Thank you for your assistance as the fire situation continues and thousands remain affected. With your help Rotary will be ready to assist with the recovery needs as they become known, and will make a difference to those in these communities as they return home and start recovery and rebuild.
